Jesse
Youth Mentor
Hello, my name is Jesse. I grew up and lived in Mount Gambier for the
majority of my life. I moved to Adelaide in 2021 and got a job in
youth work. Making this change was one of the best things that I have
ever done.
I am very passionate about the industry I work in. Working in this
sector has taught me a lot about different cultures, lifestyles and
ways of living. It has also exposed me to working with kids with
trauma and how that plays an ongoing role in a kid’s life. I am
constantly learning and looking to upskill in the different roles I
work in. Working as a youth worker inspired me to become a mentor, I
want to have a positive impact on as many different lives as possible.
I am an easy going, friendly, kind and approachable person that is
always up for a laugh. I love all kinds of sports including football,
soccer, basketball, golf and many more. I have played sports
competitively for most of my life. I also love playing video games,
listening to music, cooking, playing with my dog and spending time
with friends and family.
I think I’ll make a good mentor because I love working with all kinds
of kids young and old. I will be a good role model that helps the kids
work through any different challenges or difficulties they are
experiencing in life. I will build relationships, set goals, teach
life skills and most importantly have fun.
I am currently studying my cert 4 in youth work, and my diploma in
community services

Brenton
Mentor
Hello, my name is Brenton
I was born in Hobart, Tasmania. My people are Palawanee (Palawa) Mob, North Launceston.
I grew up mainly in Adelaide with good proportion of my adult years back in Tasmania learning about my mob. Allowing me to do a few traditional events and participate in my cultures mutton birding.
Whilst being back in Adelaide I’ve found myself being a NDIS support worker. Did so for a little over three years. Then found this amazing opportunity to work at Peace Together.
I absolutely love my sports; football (AFL) and cricket were the main focus growing up. Was a Adelaide crows fan but now have family that plays for Richmond so momentarily I’ve jumped ships, soon to support Tasmanian devils.
Even found myself gaming professionally for a little while, playing a game called ‘Rainbow six siege’. Any tech issues Im usually your guy to fix it.
Parma or parmi, either way I love a good schnitzel.
